My sister and her boyfriend befriended people, so called Wiccans. After some trouble (that was sorted out), they were informed during the weekend that they intend on killing her boyfriend as he is a gate keeper for demons. They also said that he was possessed by demons and if this wasn't done, that he would kill her. She asked them on how they were intending on killing him and they replied with some or other spell. I know a core rule is that if no harm is done, you may proceed. But this confuses me now and I'm thinking that they aren't true Wiccans at all. Can someone please shed some light on this so that I can advise my sister and her boyfriend on what to do. Thank you.

Joa5, that is why I posted my question. This really did happen. I did alot of research on the Wiccan belief and that is why I wanted to know if this was possible at all. It really didn't make sense to me because of what I've already read. I've met these people once before and there is really something fishy about them. I meant no harm to any Wiccan followers. I just needed your advise and perspective on this issue. Once again, thank you.

Dear anoldmick, you calling me a liar? What if I told you that I was present when this threat was made? Not all questions on here are hoaxes. Get a life okay.

First of all, you or whoever is involved, need to call the police on this matter. Any threat of death is illegal.

Secondly, they are not Wiccan. If they truly think they are Wiccan, then they are terribly misinformed. Most Wiccans, including myself, don't believe in demons because demons are the embodiment of evil. Wiccans believe in balance. Thus, everything is both black and white, not just one or the other.

Thirdly, if these were a group of Wiccans and believed this guy to be possessed of anything, they would help heal him not kill him. Typically what happens is that a healing circle is held and metaphysical healing techniques, such as Reiki, are applied onto said person.

Yes, spells can be terribly dangerous, and can kill. Best thing to do is lessen it's power by not believing in it's power. Also, tell the victims involved to pray to whatever deity they believe in. Tell them to ask the deity for protection.

On a side note: It's crap like this that makes us Wiccans look bad. It only takes one bad apple to ruin the whole barrel.

These people are not Wiccans at all. Not only do Wiccans follow a rule of harm none, but they don't believe in demons nor demonic possession.
These people sound more like rebellious christians than anything. They do not follow a pagan path in any way, shape or form.. it's these kind of people that give Wicca a bad name.

Advise them to get away from these people and to report them to the police should they make any death threats other than "casting a spell".

No, they aren't true wiccans at all. They're nut jobs who should be avoided and possibly warn the police about them. That way, if there is a mysterious murder or your sister's boyfriend is harmed, the police know where to look first. Wiccans are supposed to follow a Harm None rule, and murder isn't following that.

Definitely not Wiccans. We Wiccans don't believe in demons anymore than we believe in a Satan.

Raven's Voice had a good idea, tell your sister and her boyfriend to call them on it

They are the BB that rattles in an empty can. Theirs is the weapon of fear, their power is less than smoke and mirrors. Tell them to cease braying like asses and get gone from their sight.

Wiccans don't believe that demons exist. These folks have no clue about my religion, and sound like a group of kids who like to scare themselves and each other.

So whatever these people are, they are NOT Wiccans.

I'd encourage your sister and boyfriend to avoid them like the plague. Don't allow yourself to become frightened by these posers - your fear can lead you to imagine that they are doing something to your sister or her boyfriend when something perfectly normal happens....

Years ago, a friend of mine ran into a group of emotionally stunted people who said they would put a curse on her (and claimed to be Wiccans - ha!). My friend's reaction was to show up at their door, hand them a bag with some of her hair and nail clippings in it, and say to them "Do your worst" and then laugh at them.

Laughing at them is the best way to handle this. If you all can summon up genuine laughter at their pretentiousness, you're going to be just fine.

I've never in my life heard of Wiccans, of any type, trying to kill someone because they were a 'gatekeeper' for demons. I've never even heard of it happening on accident with Wiccans. I've heard of christians killing people they thought were possessed, but I have to stress that those are accidents for the most part, not intentional.

I'd advise them to cut all contact with this group immediately. Those don't sound like Wiccans to me at all.

These people are dangerously misguided, and possibly even physically dangerous.

Even though they couldn't magick themselves out of a paper bag, they could take this delusion to the next level and try to physically hurt these people. You need to go to the police. You can leave out that Your sister and her boyfriend are Wiccan, just tell them, that you met these people, who are deluded, and dangerously so, and have threatened to kill her boyfriend.

Plain and simple. They don't believe in Mumbo Jumbo (that's what they'll see it as.) But they do take seriously is crazed people who threaten to kill other people.

No, they are not wiccans at all, or this never happened not only is this against Wicca it can land you in jail. It is believed that a special branch of Satanists sacrifices animals.
The point is that no Wiccan of any kind would hurt another one, nature or animals, please tell your sister that she has befriended the wrong people and that could really hurt her specially if she is easily carried on.

I hear about this kind of thing happening all the time.

There are a lot of lunatics out there that will slap a Wiccan label on their lunacy. Most trouble makers of that sort have never cracked a book in their lives.
