The fabric of our society has gradually been eroded over the last twenty years or so particularly with the relaxed immigration laws and the devolved parliaments of Scotland and Wales. We have no real national identity any longer which in turn leads to a lack of belonging and that promotes the me, me, me culture that exists today. I'm English but genuinely don't feel at home any longer in my local community or in my country. Such a shame as places like France and Spain still hold traditional community values where most people look out for each other.

As our lifestyles , traditions, housing , jobs and culture is being eroded by the changing of England (Britain) turning into a multi cultural society where paying lifelong taxes is no longer guranteed to get you a council flat, job, school place of your choice etc. I am not suprised we are becoming an 'i'm alright Jack' nation. People are scared of losing everything we once held dear, this country is is chaos as the crime rate also soars, everyone is panicing and I dont blame them.

Quite agree with you; there seems to be a distinct lack of social care on this site. I just hope that the Country does not adopt the kind of values some people on this site display. I was appalled at answers to a recent question about world poverty when the majority of respondents would stop the UKs charitable donations to Africa because it was a "Waste of Money"
