I am having a clear out to make space in my house and want to keep the best five. Which five (in order) would you keep?
I've got nearly all of them that are available in the UK, I think...

Depends what period Miles you like. My faves are Sketches of Spain, Bitches Brew , On the Corner,Live at the Fillmore and In a Silent Way

I would keep all 30 too since your reason doesn't sound like a good reason. That said, since you did ask for 5, I'll name the first 5 that come to mind (too many to choose from):
1. Kind of Blue
2. Miles Ahead
3. Birth of Cool
4. Round Midnight
5. Any of the Prestige Recordings
Beyond titles, I would make sure you keep ones that are first pressings. But heck, keep them all man.

Keep the "best of" or "collections" type ones because they will have the most familiar favorites on them and a little bit from each year.

Y not all 30.
U cant get rid of the gold, just because it is old and you have too much of it....
A complete collection is better than having top 5.

I would find out the value of the records you have and keep the most valuable and your favourites.

...Sorry, wasn't trying to be funny or ignorant... I don't know who that is... However.. being someone who collects records of my fave singers/bands myself.. I would certainly chose to keep if you can... Sometimes we get sick of today's modern music all the time and get out some of our all time fave 'golden oldies' ...This way, you have plenty of choice! :-)
