Don't ask anything too sensitive because you can expect some nasty answers now and then. Most of the time it's good fun and you will get to recognise some of the most witty people...if you don't want witty you might want bitchy and there are a few of those about too. It's a good place to let off steam and have a laugh, just enjoy it.

here's some advice you really should pay attention to:
the "report abuse" violation system is automated. if somebody doesn't like you, they can report bogus violations on you until you're account is disabled. this can include losing your email account, even if you are innocent. So if your answers account is linked to your email account, you might want to make sure you have backups of your contact list, because you can lose it all without any warning.
also. the polls and survey section is the most fun, has the funniest group of regulars

Welcome :-) Only answer questions you know the answer to, some people answer with silly comments just to get 2 points. Be nice to people, prepare for people to be nasty and sarcastic. You get more respect if your honest and nice. lol, you will become addicted to trying to help people. After a few days vote the best answer you have been given, if you dont then it will go to everyone else to decide. You get points for choosing a best answer to your questions and questions that go to a vote. Enjoy your experience

1 - Look out for the religious nuts trying to ram their opinions down your throat.
2 - Don't get upset when you get a violation notice; there's no rhyme or reason to it
3 - Look out for sarcasm and irony in people's questions - otherwise you'll look as stupid as 90% of the people on here.
4 - it's only a game... don't get too uptight about it, or spend your life trying to acrue points. I change character name if I get too many points because it just looks a bit sad.

be prepared to loose a lot of free time
kiss goodbye to hobbies and relationships
you will go through a number of phases
1. novice, asking questions on how everything works
2. answering loads of Qs to rack up points
3. Getting anooyed at people who ask dumbe questions
4. leave for a bit because all the racists, homophobes, etcx are taking u ttoo much space
5. come back and leave again because of ridiculous violation notices.
6. get a bit up yourself as you reach the higer levels
6. realise that your life is no longer your own and just get used to the morons on here as putting up with them is worth it for the rest of the fun to be had
