There were no stamps from Switzerland in 1812. The first postage stamps were issed by Great Britain in 1840!

Many 19th Century Swiss stamps are quite valuable, but you may have stamps honoring events in the 1800s that were issued 100 years later.

Go to http://www.stamps.org/directories/dir_dealermembers.htm and under "business specalty" chose Switzerland. That will give you the names and websites of stamp dealers interested in Switzerland. But many times there are cheap stamps and expensive stamps that look very much alike, so you can only get a general idea from the listings on the websites.

First you should find out the catalogue value of these stamps.

As Swiss stamps were common use those days already, you might be disappointed by the value - but of course you might really be lucky to have found some really rare pieces in good condition.

The company "Zumstein" linked published Swiss stamp catalogues, perhaps you could also buy such a catalogue on Ebay.

Other possibility: have a colour scan made of the stamps and e-mail the page to a Swiss philatelist or the mentioned company, surely someone would help you to find out the value.

I would not know where you would get most for your stamps - but that's a point to find out when the catalogue value exceeds USD 1000 or EUR 700 - be aware, that you would get about 1/3 of the catalogue value, most.
