yes I have eaten African prepared food here in the U S of A. I work with aAfrican women and they prepared food for their lunch and was kind enough to share the taste of their homeland's dish. It was something like goulash. There was chicken,fish and beef cooked together in a pot with onions and other veggie. They called this gravy and they put it over some african white rice. It was good and spicy. I enjoyed it.

Oh, yes...at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. They have the whole hotel decorated in African motif and it's gorgeous. There's a restaurant in the hotel called "Boma...the flavors of Africa" and it's really, really good. They have a top-notch buffet and you can smell the food cooking earlier in the day...especially the meats smoking slowly. They have all sorts of meats, salads, soups, desserts, etc. It's neat because the wait staff are wearing African outfits and there's African jungle music playing softly in the background and there are animals right outside the hotel and your room...giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, etc--they're amazing and this place is GREAT !! I hope to go back there very soon one day. You should try it out.

I think everyone has eaten sweet potatoes. candied yams and baked it was quite good.
