My favorite time of day to think is between 3am and about 6am, and it doesn't really matter where I am as long as it's quiet and peaceful, but there are some places where I thought best. One of those places was the family cabin in the Olympic Mountains in Washington near where I grew up, and the other was when I was in New Mexico; somehow the desert just created a good atmosphere for thinking. I do prefer being outside as much as possible when I'm thinking too :)

Night time before I get ready for work. I go out back and jump( sometimes naked) on my huge trampoline for an hour or so. I jump steady and slow then high until I have a rhythm and can hear my own heart beat. I breathe steady and meditate, the silence and darkness all around me, except for the sound of my heartbeat and breathing. Very peaceful and healthy too.

I wouldnt choose it, but I aways have my best ideas, most artistic thoughts, etc. when I am trying to fall asleep. In my bed. If I could choose, it would be afternoon while I was relaxing. But then, I get nothing. WHen I go to bed, its like a flood!
