How's this for an idea:
Walk around your neighborhood and take pics of the things that are polluting your surroundings then use them to make a collage (a picture grouping). Also if you can find a picture of the famous "Crying Indian" from the late 60's or early 70"s (ask your parents they'll know who I mean) that would be great to include on your poster....then all you have to do is come up with an appropriate slogan....I kinda like the one the first answerer came up with...it's pretty catchy...

How about a poster on being water wise. The earth has so much water on it, but only about 3% of it is fresh water. You could give examples of conservation and or waste as well as pollution and its control. You could alternately show using bar graph how water is distributed across the globe: Graph #1 - would show 3% fresh water and 97% saline (ocean) water. Graph #2 - could further break down the fresh water supply. 30.1% ground water and 68.7% ice caps and glaciers, with .9% from other sources and .3% from surface water of which 2% comes from rivers, 11% from swamps and 87% from lakes.
How is global warming effecting this resource?
How can you help? Shorter showers, hand washing cars instead of using a hose, installing water tanks to catch rainwater etc...

show following things in your poster :
*vehicular emmissions.
*industrial waste/pollution.
*sewerage disposal ways(wrong ones like releasing it directly into rivers,etc.
*deforestation.
*aforestation.
*a small hint about other environmental pollutions like sound pollution at religious places and marriage palaces,etc.
*garbage disposal ways.
*cleanliness of surroundings.
*depict the importance of civic role alongwith governmental agencies to cleanse environment.
*maintaining existing and developing more sanctuaries for wildlife preservation.
*etc....,etc...............
