I remember watching Hotel Rwanda and they said that many of the people who killed during the genocide have yet to face justice. I don't think ti will ever end because the problem of the conflict was over the color of their skin and how one group of people tried to destroy the other because they were different. This makes me sad because Colorism is still a major problem among people of color.

Whenever you have minorities, or people with different beliefs, you will have trouble. Unfortunately, history is full of examples of this. Northern Ireland has been mistaken as a religious war, although the origins given indicate that one minority felt mis treated and both sides would link their origins back to a common political, rather than religious cause (1798).
The Sunni Muslims are another good example of this. You could also look to Eastern Euope - Yugoslavia to see what two peoples, whith so much in common, will do to each other because they have allowed hate to breed.
The only way forward for the Tutsi and Hutu is the same way forward for all of the other cases that I have sited. A genuine desire for peace and the determination to achieve it. Until both parties can sit down and discuss their differences......

there is not much that ppl from the outside can do, it's up to them (the tutsi and hutu) to find an agreement and to leave their stupid pride and ideals behind... i have friends from rwanda, and i know that they have lost close relatives in 1994 during the genocide, but i never had the guts to ask them wether they were tutsi or hutu...i have a terrible feeling they were tutsi... it upsets me a lot.

I think it's already ended. I saw a report about them rebuilding their lives and they're all pretty friendly towards each other they even set up an orphanage for both hutu and tutsi children who had lost there parents during the civil war. It was quite touching. : )
