I met my soul mate 20yrs ago wonderful yes problem he is married plus he was my partners friend complicated or what? He also feels the same way he approached me many years ago about his feelings for me and we discussed it how we felt what to do about the situation.. I was honest and said I would not have an affair or break up a marriage or my relationship with my partner even though I knew we should be together... It wasnt easy as we where all friends and was hard to keep our feelings hidden but we carried on with our relationships.. about 6yrs ago him and his wife parted but she hounded him constantly he asked me not to get involved which I respected his wishes and stayed out of it.. My relationship with my partner was over for a while we decide to go our seperate ways peter my soulmate at this time had went back with his wife.. We all fell out over the inevitable me and peter slept toghther ... My partner died 4yrs ago Im on my own , I hadnt spoke to peter for 5yrs now he is back

Your ex. soul mate Peter has turned a new leaf in getting back his wife to live with him after 6 years .
Also, you could live and mange your life with out speaking to Peter for 5 years. You honestly went out of Peter's way as per his honest pleading to you and after his wife hounde him .
Now, it is not nice to tresspass into his well settled family life with his wife after 6 long years, giving scope to shatter the piece of mind of all the three.

Just go with the tide and be with who you want to be. 20 years wanting one person is a long time. So indulge and let him indulge too. Let time roll out its verdict in its own time. You just cant be too careful about all things in life over which you have no control

Well, if he's back, you just need to talk to him to see if you two can start a relationship. Of course, after 5 years, he may have changed his feelings, but I don't think his feelings for you could have faded to nothing. After all, you've known each other for so long, no?
