If I bought a used computer and I want to start fresh- Get rid off all spyware or images or anything hidden in the computer ( watched 20/20 your computer may get hacked and am now scared) what do I do? I don't want anything gros on there thats not mine. The 20/20 report said hackers can store pics on other people computers- How do I protect my computer from that happening? Thanks.

Purchase a new operating system, do a fresh install. This wipes your harddrive completely clean and installs your new operating system, with your own product code etc.

Run Killdsik, from killdisk.com, and then do a totally fresh install to the PC. You need the Originals OS discs, hopefully there when you bought the PC. and All the apps you need to have running, that should fix the PC starting from scratch

to make sure everything is off, you will have to redownload Windows. The problem with that is that it will wipe all your stuff out first.
but that ensures that even your stuff is clean if the hacker decided to put a virus in your personal files

You need your Windows CD, put it into the CD-ROM then restart your computer, when it tries to startup. It asks:"For boot from CD press any key". press enter or spacebar at this time. then install a fressh windows and format your partition to NTFS.
After Windows installation, use your computer drivers' CD.
Good luck.

First you need to format your computer, means to delete everything on it. Second you need to put a new operation system (e.g. XP).
If you don't know how to do so, don't format/delete your computer alone.
