when i was a child i dreamed to be a metro ticket collector, because i noticed how stuffed his pocket with money, especially the coins and the sound they make as he moves around. seemed to me a very rewarding job back then.
As a teenager i had a dream of becoming a fighter pilot, the thought of riding one of those fast plans, and the hero image who can die for his country not blinking an eye amazed me. but this one died too soon, coz there was this law saying that the pilot should be Egyptian to the 3rd generation from both parents. a condition i didn't meet.
I like doing things in perfection. I like interesting jobs that changes everyday, i hate routine, but those jobs doesn't really pay well.
So, to answer your question, i d say with clear conscious:
No, my current career is not what i wanted or i wished for.

My current job is not the one I thought it would be, but I am going to school to be a lawyer and that is my planned career as a teenager.

I want to be a Novelist, because writing has always been (and hopefully always will be) my passion. I love reading books and writing stories. IT helps me escape from the real world, which is something I like to do a lot. Of course, this is only a dream I will probably end up at some job like a pharamacist.

As a little girl I wanted to be a nurse. I have one more year of college to go. It's been a rough road getting there but it is worth it! I'm 32 now. I'd been dreaming for a long time!

What I wanted to do when I was a child was be a beautician and I actually was for about 5 years. I have really sensitive skin and the chemicals were making my skin break out. I went back to school and became a registered nurse.

I am retired now, but yes my job was one I dreamed about as a child. My father and grandfather were very supportive of me and always believed I could do the job. They were right and I love them for believing in me.

Absolutely not, unfortunately. I'd planned to be financially independent by now with a fleet of condos and bungalows all over the world, and I should be in on the beach in Mykonos sipping margarita instead of typing this answer now :-(

That's funny,
The Internet didn't even exist. Pop cans had pull tabs,
and $1.25 would buy me a Quart of beer AND a pack of Marlboro's....
Guess I didn't stick to my teenage plans......
