If the UN could enforce resolutions, would the US be in Iraq right now?

No we wouldnt be in Iraq right now. The problem is that the UN is an inept body that serves as a country club for countyries to engage in special interest banter. While divised in simple terms to make the world a better place by serving the cause of all humanity it has become a spineless group of countries, and a forum for grandstanders. China and Russia are so backwards that nothing will get done with them holding veto power, and sont even get me started o the French. Its the single biggest waste of American tax payer money that I can think of.
Back to your question. If the UN had any clout American soldiers would not being in Iraq

Israel does not practice apartheid. each and every Israeli citizen has complete and equivalent rights less than Israeli regulation, and there are Christian and Islamic contributors of the Knesset. As for the UN, Israel changed into formally a racist state from 1975-ninety one, at the same time as a Nazi warfare criminal changed into Sec Gen. Anti-Semitism (ie Jew-hatred) is the purely kind of ethnic hatred the UN would not condemn. The UN condemns Israel on an prevalent foundation, yet says not something about Sudan, Rwanda, China, Lybia, Cuba, Syria, Saudi--a number of which sit down on the UN Human Rights Committee. (How's that for irony?) Oh, and it took the UN 60 years to observe of the Holocaust. i could not in any respect use the UN as a reputable source for something.

Somehow I think if you tried to get something like that past the Security Council there might be a veto. Resolutions by the General Assembly tend to be silly or petulant a lot of the time, which is why they are pretty well meaningless without the force of the Security Council.

No. And Israel would be out of Palestine. There are 160 UN resolutions that Israel has disregarded and summarily dismissed since 1967.

If they could, like they did in Korea, They would ask all member states for forces and Yes the US would be there like we are still in Korea. Gulf 1 was a UN Action. Too bad Crying thieving libs like Kofi and Sons took over the UN it exists as a neutered dog.

They could. They would not.If you look at the U.N. and see where they send troops you will see that it is mostly to defend Muslims.
It has been this way since Vietnam. The U.N. is now basically the enemy of the U.S.A. we are the largest on the block and they know we will let them push us around. They do not dare to treat China in the same manner because they know China will retaliate.
We are considered weak and we reinforce that view daily with our news casts and our belief that altruism will win the day.

Of course we wouldn't. Problem is the UN had a love for oil profits. They got a 2.2% commission of every barrel of oil from the oil for food program, which wound up not giving food to the Iraqi people. It went to Saddam Hussien.
