You give them time. Build a relationship. Trust has to be built. Let your actions speak for you. After a while they will open up, maybe tell you about the bad experience. If you're into church Juanita Bynum has an excellent testimony about trusting her husband and her struggles because of her past hurts. It's included in the the book "show me how to love you" A good read for men.

Basically, you cannot get close with someone whose had a bad experience if they are resistant still. It takes time to heal these types of inner wounds. To become closer with this individual I'd suggest being her friend, becoming her listener, and standing by her side. Trust will bring closeness and if you're patient, closeness will occur naturally on it's own between the two.

Do special things for her and tell her how special she is. Be there for her and always have her back. If something comes up that seems to set her off then you need to talk to her immediately to clear things up, don't let it fester. I will never trust anyone again 100% but I am starting to learn to open up a little.

build up trust slowly, Trust is earned by trusting one another. Don't do anything until she wants you to.

u dont make her trust you, that will never happen, talking and reassuring will allow her to feel more comfortable to want to trust, but you must realize that she will always be wanting to protect herself, just in various degrees.

First off don't rush her into anything. Be kind and take good care of her. She'll come around :)
