Doe they leave anything letting you know where you can reclaim your car? How do I know if it was repossesd or stolen? I woke up and my car is gone! I owed, but I got no letters or calls.

They work for the finance companies. Check with your creditor.

They notify the local police station of the repossession so you can check with them.As far as reclaiming it,call your financing company/bank and they will advise you of the back payments owed plus fees and penalties.

They actually don't have to tell you before they repo your car. Usually though after they do it they have 30 days to notify you that they have done it. I would call your loan company and see if they did it, because if not then it would be stolen. As for picking up your stuff if it was repo'd then you need to talk to the loan company and find out what company towed you so you can call them for you stuff.

They would call you and send you letters. Lots of calls and letters. You can call the police none emergency line and they will find your car. Hell it might have been stolen call them really soon.

They really only have to register with the cops that they're taking the vehicle. I'd report it as stolen and they will check their towed list for you.

call the police dept, repo people have to notify the cops before repoing the car, so they will tell you if its repo'd

I think they normally mail you a notification.
