That is a difficult one because it would take a whole year or so to prioritise what needed amending or changing. Give me two years and I will have a clearer picture.

However, on the long term review some of the outdated laws and policies that dog the legal system of the UK.

And review Foreign policies and overseas aid to other countries......not abolish you understand but review. I feel that in many cases some of those countries that receive aid would benefit far more from vast training programm so as to provide that country with skills and the knowhow to enable them to stand on their own two feet and make them more competitive in the global market place. That would generate wealth for that country. Thus giving back it's people a sense of well being and happiness.

On the short term I would introduce country dancing everywhere and get the community spirit back into the soul of this great country. Indulging myself here as I used to love all country dancing as a kid great fun. Lol

PS I assume you mean the UK.

I'm not in your country so I don't know. However, the best way to bring about change is through a national strategic plan. You you think about what people want in their lives, consider what needs to be done, consider the resources available, and then finally, lay out strategies for how you can give the citizenry opportunities to get the most of out their lives with the resources available.

It is relatively easy since the there are many smart people around that can make it work. What is missing is political will and an adundance of indifference.

goodness, i have only got twelve months
i would personally put a gun to the head of every child abuser in the country, i would stop benefits for people who have been claiming for than a year (the ones who are just plain lazy, everyone elses will be fine), i would raise the minimum wage to £10 an hour, i would change the amount for the state pension to £200 a week each, not per couple or anything like that. i would make all speeding fines go to the nhs, so at least then some good will come out of them. id would arm our police officers with guns, for their safety as crime is getting worse and more serious. and if i stood in dog poo i would get a dna sample off it, and track the dog down, and ,ake the owner clean the **** off my shoe, because i hate dog poo!, hope that helps, im sure your going to get great answers on here!

Fantasy.....but, if I get a chance, honestly I would try to make some long term plans and strategies concentrating on manufacturing i.e, large scale industries in UK and better source and sale market in the other part of the world, NO OUTSOURCING. I will prioritise on education, which would be must and will take all the legislation's were the government is interfering with family matters. No easy money for anyone. People has to work to earn money. Strict law on taxation. No one should depend on government funds except elderly and disabled. Making England dependent on English.

If I was Prime Minister of England, I would govern the country as the island that it is.
Abolish taxes for incomes below £30,000
Abolish death duty tax under £500,000
Listen to the people when they tell me that we don't want to go to war! withdraw troops ASAP!
Sack all the officials that create PC laws and give their jobs to people who have been struggling to get a job.
Fine firms heavily that use 95% work experience people with no intention of taking anyone on, just as cheep unpaid labour.

I don't think being prime minister gives you the power to change peoples minds, so I wouldn't get to do everything I'd like to. I'm too lazy to be PM anyway.

If I was the prime minister of Canada,I would two things, first,I would get rid of voice telephone answering ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CALL THE GOVERNMENT [any office], It's so annoying when they put you on hold for hours and hours. And the longer I had to wait,I should be accredit a percentage and charge intrest on my income tax refund! The second thing I would do is OUTLAW unknown name and number on call display because why are you hiding your name and number???????????????!!

Change the education system

At the moment, most subjects, epecially Maths and languages, are extremely badly taught at KS3, in my opinion the most important KS, meaning that a lot of kids give up on these subjects and end up leaving school at 16.
