It's the same as moving anywhere - if you've got good skills which are in demand, you'll get a job. Why should Manchester be any different? Saying that, it's a great place to live. So why not give it a go. There are plenty of employment agencies you could contact to see if you have the appropriate skills. Good luck.

It's relatively easy to find some sort of employment here esp. if you have the qualifications. New opportunities open up daily with the way the City and it's outskirts are expanding.
North Manchester is a cheaper place to live than South.

It depends on what job you want. There are lots of jobs in shops and restaurants there and quite a lot of office work too. If you are a theoretical astronomer, a monkey trainer or a existentialist philosopher then the jobs in these fields may be scarce.
There are lots of basic kinds of jobs - you are almost guaranteed to get some work.

If you are well qualified you will always find work, South Manchester in particular is very expensive for housing, so you will need a good salary if you fancy living there. Fantastic city - good luck
