Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

PS: the Father he was talking about is in heaven

1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God [a]; trust also in me. 2 My Father's house has plenty of room; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going."

You're there, or you're not...it's a state of mind.

Heaven is a concept, but not a place. Many worry about getting there, but it is like saying you want to get to Christmas. You can get to the date, but where is Christmas? It is a state of being...the Christmas spirit, but it is not a location that you can secure a ticket to.

Circular reasoning and circular argument of Fundamentalists of every stripe (Jew, Muslim, Christian) will threaten your soul to get you to comply with fear of ever-torture or rejection in the afterlife. These notions are silly, are they not? Instead the idea of heaven is a concept that you have within your own control to have or reject. Heaven comes from your frame of mind, your actions, and your treatment of other people, and how they treat you in turn. Heaven is a life well lived surrounded by loved ones you care about and who can trust and care about you.

Heaven is not a place that the religious leaders keep the keys to.
