Do you think the undertones of the whole cooking a roast chicken jibes....were designed to show that she shouldn't be cooking a western dish. An indian girl cooking a western dish. Also why did danielle and stupid jo....say that no wonder we have the diarrohea and no wonder 'they' are always ill. Why? Again ...the connotations brought to mind...are of a dogy indian curry. Indians are not always ill ....just like englis people are not always ill. ANd why bring up about 'do they eat with their hands'....like English people don't? What about eating fish and chips...or crisps...or even a curry.
This is why you don't see many asian girls going on the TV...its because of rubbish bullying/racial bullying like this.
This girl is displaying all the characteristics of a victim of bullying..she is starting to doubt herself...and feel stupid. This is a Bollywood movie star with high self esteem. Just think...what normal indian girls must feel like...putting up with this type of behaviour.

There are not many English blokes in CBB...only Jades BF and the one from steps. Why is noone helping her? Also...is this why we don't have inter -racial marriages...because...of lack of understanding between families of different race. The subtext to the whole chicken thing ...is...'we don't want to see an indian girl cooking our traditional english dish'

Yes...well I normally do not watch CBB. Bit I'm asian (indian) and for me and a lot of the asian community here and in India ..its a big deal ...for an asian to be breaking UK TV. Yes ...I know there have been a few faces...in TV already....but the reason I find it interesting...is the whole way they are picking on her.

I think it's really disgusting the way she is being treated and I think it comes down to the insecurity of the three girls dishing out the treatment.
I don't think their treatment comes from racist views, I think they are jealous and they don't like that she is different, more glamorous, and getting more male attention than any of them and are therefore highlighting and mocking her differences.
Insecure and small-minded people do tend to feel threatened by people's differences be it race/sex/age/culture or otherwise.
I said to my boyfriend on the night they all went into the house that Danielle's face was a picture when Shilpa walked in! Shilpa looked stunning and really glamorous and Danielle looked genuinely mortified that another pretty girl was in the house.
No wonder Danielle was worried, she's not got much going for her other than her looks. You only have to look at the tabloids to see those tacky pictures from her ex-boyfriend's (a gangster no less) phone. Danielle had her skirt hitched up and bottom in the air like a complete scrubber! The fact that in her introductory video she said the word "Teddy" in every other sentence shows that there really is no substance or talent to her person - she's simply scraping as much fame as she can from hanging off the arm of a famous footballer.
On the other hand, if you think about it, in her own country Shilpa is a hugely successful genuine STAR in her own right with real talent. In this country, Jo, Jade, and Danielle are nobodies, known for little more than being retards or trollops.
Ok, so Jo was once in a 'successful' pop band. She isn't anymore and this is why she is in CBB in order to try and ressurect any chance of a career or to help pay off some of her spiralling debts.
Although I think Jade is being the more level-headed of the three, her lack of intelligence and general ignorance means that her problem is just not understanding or being able to cope with someone who is more talented, intelligent, and culturally a bit different to her and this showed through on their kitchen conversation that was broadcast last night.
It's a real shame that these individuals have had to resort to such behaviour but in a way, I think it could have a positive effect. Hopefully the public can now see and realise how ugly such behaviour is and will be less-inclined to behave so themselves.
I hope they all get evicted before Shilpa because they and society needs to learn that we should celebrate our differences and not despise them.
PS! Fairy princess, you can't criticise white people for being racist only to then go and make judgements based on colour yourself. I live in an area with a large Asian popultion and I know quite a few Asian girls who drink far more than I have ever done and not only to they sleep around, they are genuine maneaters! Not that I judge them for this, but I just think you should get down off your high horse and realise that it doesn't matter what race - there are good and bad in all cultures.

lots of people are saying that the three bitches are ganging up on shilpa however there is no racism. Of course, anyone can see that there are clearly underlying racial slurs. To assume that all Indian people eat with their hands is pure uneducated ignorance (Danielle). To refer to someone as 'the Indian' (Jackie) is clearly racist and to say that Indians 'are always sick' due to chicken (Jo), get a grip! It's not only jealousy, Shilpa is clearly a successful actress, but there are other underlying issues here, you don't need to be a rocket science to work them out. It's mainly Caucasians who have issued complaints anyway rather than Indians. I can't wait for Jo, Jade and especially Danielle- the most 2faced of them all, to leave the house. To think that they went into the house to enhance their non existent careers is a joke, especially after current episodes. If they receive a good reception, I'll be well dissapointed because they're not deserving. They should be treated with the intolearnce they deserve, the same way they've intolerated Shilpa. The only difference is that their intolerance will be deserved, whereas Shilpa's isn't. What is Shilpa supposed to do? "...Er... sorry i'm indian, it wasn't my fault." !! Get real. I don't think that they should be kicked out of the house either. Infact, they should'nt be paid or they should be penalised by being taken through a back door- how's that for their grand exit??

Right lets get a few things straight here....
1) Shilpa never did herself any favours to begin with as she acted like she was some sort of princess.
2) She is obviosly a woman who gets on better with men which always seems to rub up other girls backs.
3) She is an actress using her skills to play people and is very good at it!
4) The chicken saga was the final straw for people in the house as she has taken over all the cooking and influence's what is going to be cooked to suit her. I have never cooked a roast chicken for 1/2 an hour and would be concerned about food poisoning!
5) There is no racial bullying as I m sure if she really wanted to fit in she could but chooses not to as she is no longer the superstar with everyone's attention zoned in on her, which she is used to in India!!!
I would also like to comment on a previous comment from fairy princess. I thought your comment started of really well and I fully agreed with you until you threw in the offensive comment to white woman saying that their culture is getting drunk, swearing and sleeping around. Do you know this for a fact or is this your racist view of white woman?

I think Danielle and Jo are behaving appalllingly. Basically they are jealous because Shilpa is more articulate, intelligent, sophisticated, educated and all round generally more pleasant than either of them and they are plain jealous & giving her a hard time. I don't think it's to do with her colour or culture - although obviously that makes up part of who Shilpa is. It's schoolgirl bitchiness and embarrassing at best.
Shilpa knows the score, she is a little upset but then she's also a bright intelligent woman who can easily manage two spiteful little girls.
I don't think your comment about few Asian girls on telly is because of racial bullying. There are many successful Asian girls on telly, but I think they choose to work in rather more intelligent fields than rubbishy sitcoms & daytime tv!

She's one of the biggest stars in the house, I think she is very likely to win. If I voted (which I wouldn't) I would vote for her. In the episodes I have seen, she has not behaved in a nasty way (unlike most of the others). I'm sure there's a (perhaps unconscious) racist attitude towards her in part because she is very assertive and they can't handle that. But wait till the show's over and the people having a go at her will go on the defensive and talk all about 'my many close asian friends'. Yawn.

Shilpa is showing great guts to withstand the tirade of bullying she is enduring by those awful, stupid, ignorant girls. If Jade was not in the house then it would never have started of course. They are following her lead like school ground bullies. Danielle will be be dumped by her boyfriend when she comes out and will be publicly villified by all, Jo will disappear back into obscurity and Jade will be, at last, outed for the person she really is.

Remember that despite the fact these people are celebrities does not make them intelligent or decent for that matter. So what if she's Indian she can cook what on earth she fancies! As for Indians being ill all the time well it's blatantly obvious that they aren't, they wouldn't be a nation otherwise! I don't watch BB but think that this is typical of school girl bullies, they should grow up! I hope Shilpa continues to rise above it all, that'd teach them lesson!

i think it has more to do with Jade, Jo and Danielle being bitchy and moronic than a thought-out jibe at Shilpa because she's asian. They have found someone to pick on and if Shilpa wasn't there it would have been someone else instead, so no, i don't think that's the reason. They'd bully anyone.

I think the chicken incident was all cause by Shilpa being so high and mighty that she refused to listen to the lesser mortals that are Danielle, Jade and the gang.
She's so far up her own bum, it's unreal.
There is a lot of bullying / silly girls stuff going on, but I think it's just because they don't like her, rather than anything sinister.
You've got to remember that not only is Shilpa very pretty, she's also a bit older than the other girls and leads a very different lifesytle. Maybe the other girls are just plain jealous.

i think when shilpa first went in she looked down on alot of the girls in there and spent most of her time with the males we do only get to see the edited version and bb are going 2 show every1 being nasty i am not exscusing jo danielles and jade behavior they should not be slagging her off and excluding her i think this is wrong and they should try and make her feel more comfortable as it 3 to 1
