Bags are collected when you take more tricks than you bid. For each bag, 1 point. Reach 10 bags and there is a point penalty of -100.

bags are not scored. They are only tracked. When you have ten bags, your score reduces by 100.
The number of bags is the total number of tricks (or books) that you get over the inital bid.
For example, you and your partner bid 6 tricks but get 8, then you get 2 bags. 10 result in a loss of 100 points. That's why it is important to bid your hand as good as you can.
