Neither because they are American and American cars are not built to last. If you're looking for a pick up truck, a Toyota Tundra is probably a better choice in an age of rising gas prices and such. Besides, Toyota automobiles last for quite a long time.

Chevy & GMC are the same trucks other than the brand name & body style. GMC is the upscale to Chevy with the higher price.
Depends on what your using the truck for. There are many models to choose from with many options. A stock regular cab would be the cheapest if its just you & two buddies. The bigger the truck, the more options, the pricer it gets.
Look on MSN Auto & compare the trucks with the options.

OK since all these people that answered must not realize there one in the same. There both gm products produced on the same production line. The only difference is the GMC is kind of like the cadillac of trucks compaired to the Chevy.

You ask "what is better Chevy or GMC?" Chevy and GMC are both made by General Motors. They are essentially the same truck, just with different grilles and emblems. Everything else is interchangeable between the two of them.

They are built on the same assembly line. I choose Chevy due to the fact that GM makes more Chevy's than GMC's, so if you need body parts, they are more likely to be found in salvage yards.

They are pretty much identical. Just do some research on the options you like and visually which one strikes you and make a choice that way. Check out some reviews on New Car Test Drive and you can use the tool on carsdirect.com to do a direct comparison of the models you're considering.

I hope that helps.

Diesel has a number of advantages. A lot of the times it will get better gas mileage. It will have a much larger towing capacity. The diesel engine will last FOREVER! Maybe the higher gas prices are a small price to pay for a better vehicle.
