My only contribution:
I wish my parents had gotten me out of the house on valentine's when I was 16 up. I would have prolly had far more fun when I was old enough to know what it was all about.
My parents were far too inventive, being able to celebrate Valentine's with both my brother and I in the house. Maybe it helped that for many of those years my gran cooked a huge meal to start things off at her house.
But, I say good on you wanting to have that special evening, just the two of you. First, if married, I would want my other to find out what I might like, then plan accordingly.
The sound idea of your son having a night out will allow everyone to have a great time. From there the sky may be the limit, so to speak. So I wish you much fun, love, and happiness on this special day.

Arrange for your 17 year old to go to a mates house for sleep over.cook a nice meal, get dressed in something that makes you feel good & at the end of the evening take your hubby for a candlelit bath for two before bed. If you use aromatherapy/scented candles its even nicer!!!! Enjoy

What about booking the day off together and going and doing something you havent done for years or wouldnt normally do like a day trip sight seeing in a city, a theme park, a zoo or sea life centre, an outdoor adventure themed park like go ape or paintballing, a day at a race track, horse or dog racing the possibilities are endless.

Good luck have a lovely day xx

Does he get YOU a Valentine's Day present? If not, basically supply him a card. If he somewhat would not take exhilaration in any of the "high-quality" belongings you pronounced then those are my recommendations: His prominent alcoholic beverage and snack, cellophane wrapped and ribboned in a manly field like a bucket; 2 movie tickets and a field of his prominent "educate" sweet; present certificate for the video save, Sears, Lowes, etc. save in recommendations, presentation is each and everything. very last is my husband's all time prominent: cutting-edge him with horny new undies, on your length obviously because you're the guy who must be wearing it!

you answered your own question , a 17 year old is a grown man , throw him out for the night and make a guy who has worked hard and cared for you and your son for at least 17 years feel young again try to recreate an evening you both enjoyed all those years ago when love was young and let him know your feelings have never changed .

it makes me feel good to know someone got it right good luck and enjoy x

can you send your 17 year old away? if so, good home cooked food is always the best......

If not, depending on where you are and weather you could go and make a fire somewhere? Have a little rustic BBQ?

Find a nice hotel, book a honeymoon suite, pack him a few bits, and whisk him away... take with you several bottles of wine in your luggage and have a cosy night in a posh hotel, with only you and your husband and an option of room service! :) xx

Weekend away, with a show to follow or a dance if he's that way
inclined. He will probably be quite happy with a leggy over!
