Maytag. I had a hard time getting Whirlpool to honor my warantee agreement. They hasseled me for a year and i needed all sorts of documents and it was their typographical error and for all my troubles they did fix it but gave me no money for all the money i spend at the laundermat waiting I could have bought a new fancy washer and dryer. That makes me so angry!

It's not the best Model or Company that one suggests but what are the features you need , that will lead you to the final Choice.
To know all about washing Machines or for that matter most white goods , I suggest you make a comparative study at the web site of Compareindia.com or eprodz , or planet customer and find the item that suits you best.
Check that an Authorised service station is available for your town.
For trouble free service , irrespective of the model , do not load the machine beyond 80% of its rated Capacity,
Make sure that inlet water pressue of the machine is matched with what your availability.

I have used many varieties over the years and the best one so far is the LG I am using right now. It uses very little water and is big enough that it has cut my total loads per week to 4 which is half of what I was washing before I got the new washer. I also have the LG dryer and it can dry a king size comforter in 30 minutes and a full load of clothes in 30 to 40 minutes. It is great.

I like Bendix or Electrolux. But the best one is Zanussi. Dont buy a Candy, everyone that we and friends have had have broken down within months. Also, dont forget to use Calgon descaler in the machine as it will preserve life of the machine for much longer

Speed Queen is the best washer made but they are hard to find for home use. I used to own laundromats and only had Speed Queens. When I sold out, I kept one for my home. If you can't get a Speed Queen, get a Maytag...
