Depends which council it is. My neighbour has 4 kids in a two bedroom house and they won't move her even though she has 2 girls and 2 boys.
You would be better off seeing if someone would do an exchange with you.

If you are not considered by the council for a year, that gives you a year to stay in credit and prove you can do it.
I assume the children you have already are the same sex, if they are not, they should not, by law, over a certain age, be in the same bedroom. Also, humans are entitled, again by law, to a certain amount of living space. You will need to speak to your C.A.B. about this.
As for them re-housing you if you are destitute, the council does not have to do so if you became homeless through your own fault, i.e. rent arrears. As I said, keep up with the payments over the next year, pay it early rather than on time, that gives you a better leg to stand on.
Sorry to hear about your predicament, it is really bad news that rules within the system to not take into account personal circumstances.

The housing officer at your local council should either help you or refer you to someone for advice. They have a legal duty to oversee the housing in their area, this could be directly or through housing associations. If not try your local councillor, see if they will represent you and give some help through the system.

likely no longer. Council housing is prioritised in case you're weak AND on very low earning AND who both have some community connection OR are in yet another type the position the state assumes duty (leaving care, refugee).

moza's right.the council don't even take kids into consideration until they're a year old.best thing to do,apply with them for a bigger house, and in the meantime, try to get an exchange with someone.i had the same problem in the past, and i ended up having to rent privately, which worked out better,as i could choose the area where we moved to.good luck and congratulations onthe pregnancy.

You probably won't get anywhere coz most of the existing housing stock for large families has been given out to asylum seekers!
