i have heard from many people that when year 2010 it will be the end of the world? is it the truth? or just rumours. =( im scared.

Just rumors. The idea of the end of the world reappears periodically. So far, nobody's been right.
People have thought that the year 666, 1 000, 1 666, 1 966, 2 000, and many others harbored the end of the world. 2010 is just another one of those strange rumors. Most of the people making the predictions, strangely, refer to the Bible, which states very clearly you can't make such predictions: "No man knows the day or the hour of Jesus' coming" - Matthew 25:13.

Don't worry. A lot of people usually say things about that to do two things :
1. Scare the crap out of an innocent person for no reason.
2. Get money out of it.
Remember when they thought the world was going to explode in 2000 because computers weren't used to that date or something? Well, the world is still here. I don't think doomsday is on its way, you can sleep soundly tonight. Of course, something unexpected or spontaneous could happen, but it's always been that way. Also, I think the Lord will probably come back before such an event happens. Just calm down and don't worry about it, it's going to be ok :D

No, it's not the end of the world in 2010 but the world will end soon, don't worry, your time to justify a life spend living in a perpetual state of paranoia will come. Just be patient.

I think it's meant to be the year 2012. the 23rd of december to be exact. This is when the Mayan calendar finishes. For some strange reason there's a lot of fools out there who think that this means the end of the world. Why should it? Their calendar has to run out some time. The Mayans never said or left any signs to actually say this was the end of the world either. It is simply when their calendar finishes. That's all. My advice is that whenever you hear anyone suggest this you should just laugh at them. I for one will be looking forward to buying all their shares and houses at fantastic low prices when the time comes.

it's just 4 years away... wait and see for yourself. Consider yourself fortunate enough to witness the end of the world if that'll ever happen in 2010 but i very much doubt it.
Well, the world can end right now if north korea start using nuclear bombs or if the sun is to fall and land on the earth. We just have to get on with our lives. there is no point getting scared.

It could well be 2007 because Bush would be gone next year. If we cross this year safely, then there may be no need to worry any more. On second thoughts, 2007 is not likely to be the end because the sum of digits is 9 and 9 is the largest single digit value!!! that's perhaps why Democrats won.

Okay, excuse the quote, I just find it humorous. Anyways, you can believe whatever you want as to the end of the world, but I believe that only God knows the time. It could be a million years from now, or it could be two seconds from now.

Just rumors. The world will not end. Human may become extinct if they persist in their foolish ways and use nuclear weapons, enironment pollution, AIDS, diseases etc.
They said 2000 would be the end, but nothing happened, the next milestone is logically 3000. Nothing will happen on 2010, it is mathematically not perfect.

Well even if it was, why sound depressed? Enjoy the time now that you are alive. That is what life is all about. However, listening to those cynics could alter your personality to have a mobid view of life in general.
Dont let these people influence you to think like that, however, use it to your advantage and enjoy the life you are living and let them ponder in fear. lol. 2010 is another year in the calander, who knows you might die before that, so does it really matter? Dont stress yourself dude, live life to the fullest!
