Hi Rene
I live here in Peruto Rico Gran Canaria.
March will be warm it is about 22c today and temperatures will not drop much below that normally. However now until around May time you can expect some rain but most days sunny.also we do get some really bad storms at this time of year. But do not let the weather put you off it will certainly be better than the UK.
It is quieter here in the winter mainly old Scandinavian folk, but still plenty to do.
if you have not booked yet try www.thomsonfly.com they have some real cheap flight some as low as £7.50 one way if they have not all been booked
As for success ratio not sure what you mean if out looking you should have no problem.
If I can help with anything else please post another question.or email ansathis@yahoo.co.uk.
Do hope you come to visit our Island

Usually excellent weather, plenty warm enough for the beach & not too cool at night. They are known as the islands of eternal springtime as it very rarely gets cold (although it does rain occasionally). Have just come back ( am a regular traveller to Gran Canaria as my boyfriend lives there) & even in december it is hot enough for the beach
