I have all the symptoms of preg (sore boobs, metal taste, tired etc etc), did neg test last wk, had blood test at docs - awaiting results as previous pregs hpt didnt show till late on (youngest is 13years old so cant remember much from bein preg) - Last period was 20 Nov 06 but had slight bleedin 4 one day 25 Dec, any ideas? Doc didn't seem to bothered about it when i mentioned it.

Only have the metal taste every now and then not every day and can be at any time of day too. Is that normal?

Hi there dear. It sounds to me like you are probably pregnant. The reason that the doctor did not sound too bothered about the one day of bleeding is because, as you said, it was slight. Slight bleeding during pregnancy does not get doctors too upset unless it turns into actual bleeding or it does not go away. What you are describing amounts to a day of spotting and that is not a big deal.
I am not surprised that your urine test was negative, they can take awhile to become positive. I would have suggested a blood test but you are one step ahead of me. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised when you get the results of your blood test back. Bet you are going to be a Mommy again! Congratulations and good luck!

sounds as if you could be, pregnancy tests can give false negatives, when they're actually wrong! confusing i no!
Just wait for the results from the doctor and you'll know for sure.
The slight bleeding can also be a sign of pregnancy, don't worry, thats prob why doc didn't seem bothered. Any probs then always go an see the doc. Good luck whatever the result.

It does sound to me like you ARE pregnant!!! You are having all the symptoms that I had when I fell pregnant, especially the sore boobs and iron taste in mouth. The Iron taste is one of the main symptoms of pregnancy and usually means its definate.
Sometimes different pregnancies dont show up in an early pregnancy test, so be patient. and dont be afraid to tell your doctor that you want a second opinion.
wait for your test results and then decide what your next move is.

ı had the same problem. normally ı am like a clock when it comes to periods . ın my country ( Turkey ) we say that the baby is cleaning its place for this kind of matter. It turned out that I was pregrant after I had mixed up period dates. But ofcourse you should wait for the tests too. It may also be because oof changing of weathers or if you wrer ill and took some pills etc .

sounds like you are but the female body is so strange, my friend had the same symptoms recently, it turned out to be sycts on her ovaries she had to keep pushing the doctor, but got to hospital in the end, tell your doctor you want to see someone else as your not happy, it is your body and you tell the GP just that dont take no for a answer dear, good luck

Sounds to me like you might have started going through the 'change' If your blood test comes back negative...Then you have started the 'menopause'
