They talk about men in black suits coming to get all the "conspiracy people" if it (9/11 inside job)was really true,
you counter by saying they ARE trying to silence us, look at all the websites being blocked and taken down and the Mainstream Media black out...
they then try to belittle you and in the same breath say "keep feeding into the idea that the government is that powerfull.
WTF??
People need to get thier head out of the a$$ and stop pitting this on a "left and right" basis but rather a basis of whats right and wrong,.
the word "liberal" is becoming as redundant as catching Bush in a lie.
People can have different ideologies, but what should always be consistant is the overall goal to keep America growing as it was BEFORE 9/11, The U.S government has hurt us in the long run worse then the terrorist have. The terrorists ARE winning...
this war on terror keeps stripping us of our rights daily. We need to as Americans keep it safe, from DOMESTIC and Foreign threats.

The government has the right to LEGALLY search your house w/out a search warrant, they can LEGALLY listen to your phone calls, LEGALLY look through your mail..

Bryan.. The "republicans" in quotes was a dig. The left is just as screwed up as the right, but I will admit I notice the statments a hell of alot more in "republicans"
which is why the statment of this isnt a left and right, its a right and wrong issue..

Proud American.. can you put into YOUR OWN WORDS what you just copied and pasted??.
Keep coming at me about contradicting things, your government that you are supporting has fine tuned the book on contradiction.. And to fully understand what "acts" are being passed you need to have the ability to do a little thing called reading between the lines, and I really dont expect people with the "Go America" "Iraq is behind 9/11" to really get the concept of the direction this country IS going..
KEEP justifing the fact our constitution has been dismantled, but dont be a contradicting prick and say its for the good of the country!

The Neocons just continue to walk blindly behind a lame duck. Pride and EGO (Easing God Out) is the real problem. Corruption was the only way for Fascists to try to control others, this is Neocon theology. November's elections were the people talking, and it wasn't for the the Neocon cause, but just the opposite. They lost big, a "Thumpin" as Bush stated. Republicans will have to come up with different people, and ideas to regain any power in the future. America doesn't believe them nor trusts them with their past and recent actions taken. They did it to themselves, and are the victimizers, not victims. It was the Neocon 30 year plan that failed!!!

If in case you have not heard the Senate is about to pass today January 16, 2007 the Ethics Bill, Senate Bill 1, Section 220 that will not allow you the pivate citizen to contact them, email, fax, write or call them about issues PERIOD! Both Parties have become the Axis of More Evil! This Bill violates the Bill of Rights and the United States Constitution and deprives you of Free Speech!
You will not see this on your local news either, as they take away all of every American's Civil Rights! This Revolution is Not Being Televised and only Large Corporations and Heavily Paid Political Special Interest Groups will have any say in the way You live! They have already blocked NRA, American Family Association, just to name a few.

I could agree with your concept except for one problem. You complain about Republican actions, but not one word against Democrats. As usual with the left leaning you see all the ills of the opposition, but none from your own side. Argue with a liberal using facts, logic and polite commentary and you will be called a blind sheep or worse. If you really believe what you are saying try posting about both sides equally. Otherwise it just becomes more empty rhetoric.
I am an Independent albeit a conservative one. I think both sides engage in a pretty fair amount of mudslinging at times. However, what I find is that whether they are right or wrong, Conservatives and Republicans make better attempts to explain their positions on the whole, while Liberals in general do not and when challenged to do so either clam up, or resort to mudslinging as a defense. I would like to see honesty from both sides in political discussions. I know it is not going to happen. The point I was making in earlier statements is that in order to be considered reasonable when making statements of this type you must hold both sides equally accountable. A dig at one side or the other will always be viewed as taking a partsian position and does not lend itself to open discussion as you put one side or the other on defensive from the start.

It's VERY SIMPLE LESSON TO LEARN HERE...
ALL popliticians LIE.
THAT is thier job.
THAT is what tax-payers PAY them to do.
They go into politics with all good intentions, THEN, they attend the politicians accademy who proceed to teach them the errors of thier beliefs, and the absolute importance of the "photocall" and saying WHATEVER the media or whoever WANT to hear...
Comprende'?
It's a VERY SIMPLE lesson for all to learn.

Government is there to serve its people.
But people's nonchalance and fear is giving the government more and more power which they use to take away more freedom and control each of us.
Until people do something, our liberties and rights are taken away and soon the earth will be a big prison ruled by a dozen of rich men.
We'll only be free to do what they want want us to do.
And this is not what freedom is.
Edit:
For people to take back their rights they will need to stop being separated. They need to unite as Humans being and take their rights back from the government who steal them everyday.
Remember, Government is there to SERVE YOU. Not the other way.

I'll let you be your own judge as to whether or not these two statements contradict each other.
You said...
"People need to get thier head out of the *** and stop pitting this on a "left and right" basis but rather a basis of whats right and wrong,."
Prior to that you said..
"Why do "Republicans" continue to contradict themselves?"
There is a saying... 'Everytime you point a finger at someone else there are three more pointing back at you.'
I'm curious ONE civil right that you feel you have lost.
Zero. That's the number of substantiated USA PATRIOT Act civil liberties violations. Extensive congressional oversight found no violations. Six reports by the Justice Department's independent Inspector General, who is required to solicit and investigate any allegations of abuse, found no violations. Intense public scrutiny has yet to find a single civil liberty abuse. Despite many challenges, no federal court has declared unconstitutional any of the PATRIOT Act provisions.
Now, please point out to me one contradiction that I have made.
PS...
"ANY person regardless of color, creed or religion, can INFACT be declared a "terrorist".
The government has the right to LEGALLY search your house w/out a search warrant, they can LEGALLY listen to your phone calls, LEGALLY look through your mail..
you said one, I gave 4."
Not true Sarcastic One... absolutely not true. You aren't even trying to disguise your lies. You simply are stating them as facts. As a matter of fact two of them you have just made up.
Search Warrants-
Delayed notification warrants are a long-existing, crime-fighting tool upheld by courts nationwide for decades in organized crime, drug cases and child pornography.
Section 213 of USA PATRIOT Act simply codified the authority law enforcement already had for decades. Because of differences between jurisdictions, the law was a mix of inconsistent standards that varied widely across the country. This lack of uniformity hindered complex terrorism cases. Section 213 resolved the problem by establishing a uniform statutory standard. Section 213 is a vital aspect of our strategy of prevention - detecting and incapacitating terrorists before they are able to strike.
The Supreme Court has held the Fourth Amendment does not require law enforcement to give immediate notice of the execution of a search warrant. The Supreme Court emphasized "that covert entries are constitutional in some circumstances, at least if they are made pursuant to a warrant." In fact, the Court stated that an argument to the contrary was "frivolous." Dalia v. U.S., 441 U.S. 238 (1979). In yet another case, the Court said, "officers need not announce their purpose before conducting an otherwise [duly] authorized search if such an announcement would provoke the escape of the suspect or the destruction of critical evidence." Katz v. U.S., 389 U.S. 347 (1967).
Phone Calls-
Before the PATRIOT Act, law enforcement had the authority to conduct electronic surveillance - by petitioning a court for a wiretap order - when investigating many ordinary, non-terrorism crimes. Agents also could use wiretaps to investigate some, but not all, of the crimes that terrorists often commit.
The non-terrorism offenses for which wiretaps were available included: drug crimes, mail fraud, and passport fraud.
Section 201 enabled investigators to gather information when looking into the full range of terrorism-related crimes, including: chemical-weapons offenses, the use of weapons of mass destruction, killing Americans abroad, and terrorism financing.
Section 201 preserved all of the pre-existing standards in the wiretap statute. For example, law enforcement still must: (1) apply for and receive a court order; (2) establish probable cause that criminal activity is afoot; and (3) first have tried to use "normal investigative procedures."
Section 201 has proven to be extremely useful to law enforcement officials, as several recent wiretap orders have been based on this expanded list of terrorism offenses.

Still.... Not one contradiction on my part. As it stands now, numerous contradictions and misinformation on your part.
I am still waiting for you to tell me one civil liberty that you have had ripped away from you.
Let me answer that.... ZERO.
