Tricky one. New Labour stole the Tory clothes in 1997 and now Cameron is trying to steal New Labour's clothes. It's all a bit too populist for me. Cameron is missing a trick here, I suspect the country is looking for a real Conservative government, not his happy clappy, hoodie hugging version.

I seriously doubt it. As a conservative I believe in small government, low taxes, self reliance and independence from the state as much as possible. I do not claim one penny from the state. The state should only be there as an absolute last resort. This Government are quasi-fascists in their approach to corporate-controlling government with private quangos set up to control every little area of our lives.

I see little difference between Labour and Tories in this regard. the Tories are not going to reduce taxes or state interference in everyday life.

Today they announced that they will be looking at social offsetting as a way to manipulate society into behaving better. All the tories and labour know how to do is to create more and more rules.

We need a massive reduction in rules, our freedom and liberty is being stifled on a daily basis.

I will probably vote UKIP!
