I'm not sure of cures, but I know vitamin A & lycopene, as well as antioxidants are very beneficial to eyes. So is the herb, Eyebright.

With regard to the first answer, be aware that Vitamin A is the onlyu vitamin that you can overdose on. It comes in two forms, retinol and beta-carotene (which is basically two molecules of retinol joined together). Only as retinol is it poisonous in large doses.

Whilst Vitamin A may well help (as will general good nutrition), there ARE specific things you can do to improve your eyesight.

Developed decades ago, but just as useful today is an exercise regime known as the Bates method, which exercises the muscles in your eyes and has been shown to be effective both for short-sightedness (myopia) and age-related vision disturbances (presbyopia).

You should be able to find out more about it from a web search.

as far as i am aware...you can not CURE short-sidedness. Unless you have laser eye surgery to fix the problem? If you are short-sided you can wear glasses or contacts to allow you to see properly!
