There are good and bad in every profession these days, and in my experience, there is a little more of that in the Police Force. As such I would think twice before trusting them. But then the same holds for other's as well.

I have had a strange situation when my vehicle was almost towed away from my own parking in front of my house, reason - It seems someone doubted the vehicle to be stolen. This is for a vehicle which is cleaned every alternate day at the same spot. The police did come on the complaint to tow in away (which is good as they acted fast) and the towing was prevented when other's who know us clarified their doubts.

All this happened in my absence and no bribing or anything were required. It does bring back some trust in the force, but then it does take away the same from others as well.

Usually not so, because I lost my mobile phone some time back. I registered a complaint immediately giving all details as far as possible.

However, they havent been able to trace the same. If it were some items like cash, it would have been different. But it was a mobile phone, with the IMEI No. and Sim card No. as identity, and it is still not traced. Cant say, whether any attempt was also made to trace it or not.

Yes and No. There are good and bad people in every profession. You cannot generalize the cops only in this regard. If what you say is true you can always go to the higher ups in the department to take up this matter.
