I am searching for a specific type of necklace for my sister's wedding, the kind which has a single piece of clear nylon thread and then one single diamond (or fake diamond) so when it is worn it appears that there is no chain and just the diamond stud? I can order preferably from the UK or ship from the US, so any websites or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, I realize it sounds strange, and I am not sure that it's exactly nylon, but they were popular about 5 years ago, the jewellery that is not visible against the skin except for the pendant part, and perhaps it will be cubic zirconia rather than an actual diamond! :-)

there were called "floaters" as it looked like the gem was simply floating on the skin. they were very popular here several years ago as i had and still have one i would have no idea where to get one in the UK but you might try somewhere like claires.com or some jewelry store / accessoiries shop like that good luck
