Ouija boards are dangerous things. I remember one experience where there were 3 of us, but one of my friends refused to participate because she said she didn't like the Ouija board. Well, the spirit we got was from a poor area of Glasgow (Scotland). She kept saying my playing partner was 'suppy', which of course we didn't understand, but my other friend - the one who refused to play did - because some of her family were from Scotland. Anyway, I had never heard of the 'Gorrbles', which is the poor area of Glasgow until that moment. As someone has already mentioned, you are talking to demons or evil spirits so use with caution.

I think it depends on certain things. I know that my experience was definately...freaky.

It was just the three of us, me, my friends heather and vicki. Vicki's parents gave her a Ouija board for christmas, and we were playing with it in her basement. At first it was obvious that someone was pushing the thing around, so we got bored and went on to do something else. But we didn't put the board away.

Around 1:30 in the morning, we're still wide awake and we decide to try again with the board. This time we even turned off the lights, lit some candles and sat in a circle around it, holding hands.

NONE of us were touching it, the board or the glass mover thing. Heather asked a question, and the glass thing began spinning around, and then it went to yes. We asked who it was, and it went even more beserk, the freaking thing started to float. We freaked out, ran to the other side of the basement and covered ourselves up with the blankets. Then we heard a loud bang, and the board and glass thing was on the floor, spining around, and then we started screaming. Her parents woke up and ran downstairs, saw the thing moving and then her dad grabbed it and broke it. And then it stopped.

We all went outside the next day and burned and buried the ashes, after dumping a lot of salt around and on it.

Best thing to do? Don't Use It. Ever. Scary ****. And ours was the Parker Brothers one. Hate to think what would have happened if it were a handmade one. *shudder*

Someone metioned an Angel board?? Curious as to how that works...

Oujia boards (and Angel Boards) are real and can be a lot of trouble. Of course it is very unlikely one you buy from your local toy store would work.. it needs to be handmade bascially

Usually someone moves it around to say what they want to freak each other out. There are times though when it is real and if that is the case you have to be able to accept the results.

I have had both good and bad experiences. One of the bad being a weird mishap where a wooden heart (that was nailed to a wall) went flying across the room at some guys head narrowly missing him. No one was near it. (the "board" didnt like him)

I have been in and around pagan and wiccan relegion my whole life any time that Oujia comes up I always say dont do it.. better safe than VERY sorry Ya know.. of course it is good for laughs from some of the old friends.. when I talk abou it they turn white from terror of the memories *L*

Yes, when i was about 13yrs old my friend and i thought it woukd be funny to use her mothers and we read the instructions adn then started to this day i have no ohter explanation that a supernatural force was there that day we yelled at each other stop moving it and then we also yelled one another but i'm not and we weren't it was moving itself we asked the ouija board "are you a spirit" and sure enough it went to yes and then we asked it what it wanted to do and out of no where every window in her house shattered, we both started screaming and screaming and to this day i am still terrified of that house and if i go near it i get the creeps, my son aske dfor a ouija board for xmas this year and i just started balling and told him no. They are very dangerous to use without an adult and i guess thats why my friends mom had it hidden.

Yes they work. Exactly how much of the working is down to uncontrolled human influence is unknown, but be sure you are playing with unknown forces that may be evil or may not.
Strange things may happen or you may ask a question and get an answer that you do not want. That answer might influence you to make it happen against your wishes. The power of evil.
Leave an Ouija board well alone. Live a happy life.

I think they do. When I was a young girl my mom and one of her friends were playing with a board. my moms friend was a devout mormon and she just got caught up in the moment by being teased by everyone at the house. not more than 5 minutes later, that board flipped itself right off my moms and nitas knees. well that was the end of that and the board was history.

Ouija boards do work, how ever when you use them you're getting any wacked out spirit out there who wants to mess with you. Ever heard horror stories, they're somewhat true. Burn it if you've got it and don't use it.

No, I have tried them and found it was always someone pushing on the viewer. You can buy them at Toys"r" US for crying out loud. Do you really think they would sell a toy if it had demonic tendencies. Think of the law suits.

sure, they can--
BUT it's like getting into a conversation with a person making an obsene or harassing phone call and then even inviting them to call you back!

I don't know that you are talking to "demons" as was suggested by someone else, but there are more things in heaven and earth...

not a recommended activity
