I don't understand it at all! When I talk to the lady in emerald, she says, "Choose which of you becomes the leader and the other player must then join group," but she says in ruby/sapphire: "Please wait B button: cancel." What should be done?

You can't use the Wireless adapter because the Ruby and Sapphire do not have the compatibility you must use a link cable to do this!

Make sure that you're using a GBA Link cable to trade between them and not wireless adapters. Ruby and Saphire can't trade with the adapters.

well you need to get a connecter cable from any gaming store. the connecter cable allows you to trade pokemon with others. so you either need 2 gameboy advances or you need a gamecube that has a slot for a GBA and a gamecube disk that allows you to PLAY the GBA game. hope this helps
