Look at the negative answers they will lend a good clue. The detractors are still locked in the justification and dislike of the administration issues and cannot see the bigger picture. We are engaged with terrorists in Iraq and they will admit this fact only when trying to prove that we created those terrorists. For these people the war is lost, they do not believe we can win. They are invested in the idea that we must get out at all costs and that it doesn't matter what future consequences will arise as a result of such an irresponsible act. You will not change the minds of these people no matter what evidence you provide. Just take heart in the fact that we have a president who leads by his own convictions and not polls.

sure, the American people didn't choose the war in Iraq. It was the leaders who did it without consulting or telling the American people the true agenda of the war. Had it not not occurred to you why the twin towers collapsed when it was hit by the planes? Common sense will tell that this is impossible. However, if a bomb were planted in the building, this is possible. If you had the occasion to see movies or videos of a building demolition, then you will have an idea that even 10 planes will never collapse the towers. Just compare the footages, and you will see a very striking similarity. Ergo, this is the more convincing way of making the American people to clamor for the decimation if not extinction of terrorism. But whose terrorism, in the light of these events? So much had been said about this destruction in the papers and television. And facts are pointing that Bin Laden or those claiming to be responsible for 9/11 are just props hiding the true nature/purpose of the attack. That's why so many are confused. But then a little exercise of the gray cells will disclose that the twin towers has been bombed, synchronized with the plane attack. By the way, were there any airline company who said/claimed that it was their plane that hit the towers?

I agree and disagree with you here. First, you're right, we won the war against Iraq (Saddam Hussein and his government) within a couple of weeks of invading Iraq. As for the war on terror? The war on terrorism is NOT being fought in Iraq. Every study and report on Iraq has proven that the WMD did not exist and that there were no ties between Al-Qaeda and Iraq's government at the time. As for Bin Laden saying that the fight in Iraq being good for his cause, of course he says that! Our occupation in Iraq is creating more terrorists! Bin Laden is using our blunders in Iraq to recruit more willing fighters against America. You're right, people are confused about what's going on in Iraq. If this is a war, who are we fighting against? Iraqi government? No. We toppled their government and gave them a form of government that won't work for them, so now there is a power vacuum because the Iraqi people don't recognize the authority of the American established government and now all we are doing is unsuccessfully trying to keep Iraq from erupting into civil war. WE ARE NOT FIGHTING TERRORISM IN IRAQ. In fact, we've made more terrorists since we've entered Iraq. We are carrying out the ulterior motives of Bush and Cheney. Bush and Cheney want control of Iraqi oil and Bush wants to establish a foothold, through a military base, in the Middle East. YES, "the war came to us on 9/11" but was that war with Iraq or with Bin Laden? I keep hearing people saying "we can't leave Iraq without accomplishing our goals there." What are these goals? Keeping Iraq from having a civil war? That's not why we went there. Is our goal to bring Iraq Democracy? That's not why we went there either. The real goals of our actions in Iraq are much more fiendish. American's need to start thinking for themselves and stop blindly believeing whatever their party leaders are feeding them. Last I checked Bin Laden, the man who's responsible for planning and funding the terrorist attacks of 9/11, is still a free man on the loose somewhere in the Middle East. I'm not confused at all and I have no reason to whine. The truth is the truth and we need to get our troops out of Iraq NOW.

It was not sanctioned by the U.N. Right or wrong, The United States invaded a sovereign nation. To the gentleman below me, point taken. However, regarding the U.N. resolutions, No. 1441 referred to the final demand of the security council for Iraq to disarm, and did not sanction an invasion by the U.S. or any other armed force of an individual member of the United Nations.

And fight we should.
You have to understand that the media is invested in American/allied defeat in Iraq. They are so invested, in fact, that they regularly engage in acting as a pipeline for terrorist propaganda tapes.
Some people don't know any better and just believe what they hear without applying common sense.
(Um, sorry, Lyn, but the UN sanctioned invasion with Security Coucil resolution #665 back in 1990 and with #1441 in 2003. The moment Iraq was found to be in violation of #665 and further (unanimous) resolutions, we had every legal right to invade. The fact that the UN doesn't have the will to enforce it's own decrees is nothing but a sign of illigitimacy.)

You seem to be the only one who is confused. I hope you actually read the statements above & do some real research of your own. I used to believe what I was told on the news. I felt pretty betrayed when I uncovered the truth. It isn't pretty, but at least I don't have my head in the sand any longer.

~You are confused. The only way this war is related to terror, is that Bush is CREATING terror because they DON'T want us there, it's their country!
If the war were about 9/11, why aren't we after Bin Laden? Because they aren't looking! It's about oil and power.
Stop watching Fox News, try CNN to find the truth. I hope you find the truth soon. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!!!
Good luck~
