Detailed Description in atleast 5-6 paras somewhat starting like this:
The function of PAD (Packet Assembler Disassembler) is described in a document known as X.3. The standard protocol has been defined between the terminal and the PAD, called X.28; another standard protocol exists between the PAD and the network, called X.29. As you mentioned, these are three standards defined by International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and are part of x.25 overall standard which is an obsolete data communication network. You can find more information on all X series standards on ITU's website: http://www.itu.int/rec/T-REC-X/en

PS not everything with X is pornography!
