I've noticed the Hd-dvd's on the market..So many to choose but there are basically no internal HD-dvd drives on the market for a decent price, I've heard about hacking the xbox hd-dvd player (USB) with the drivers that were made for windows xp.. Is this a flawless install, And is the quality TRUE hd when it is installed on XP? Thanks in advance.

The above user's advice is simply untrue. Blu Ray does not have better image or sound than HD DVD. As far as capacity HD DVD has developed a 51 GB disc which beats Sony's 50GB capactiy. Capacity is not going to be the issue here but rather price and quality. Sony has released an inferior product with poor quality release movies and sells players at double the price of HD DVD. At $200, look for coupons on net for less, the drive is a no-brainer. Here's a link on how to hack the drive http://www.uneasysilence.com/archive/2006/11/8303/

It doesn't seem to be a flawless install because you have to get a Japan version of WinDVD. I would wait because at CES it was announced that Chinese manufacturers, known for low-cost consumer products, will begin making and shipping HD DVD players for the U.S. market by the end of 2007.

Agreed; you/we still don't know which HD format is even going to be the one that gets adopted. Blu-Ray looks like it might actually put HD-DVD out to pasture, since it has twice the data capacity, hence twice the picture quality, for video.
