Both were equally evil, maniacal totalitarians who would stop at nothing either through paranoia , hatred, or power hungry todestroy anyone who stood in their way to success or did not agree with their principles or were of the wrong lineage or religious beliefs. Both men considered themselves gods either by imposing his will or by the law of the State.

Definately Adolf Hitler, Im not saying that Stalin did not commit or have committed hideous acts of human barbarism. But my grandfather was a lifetime member of the communist party and had sufferred whilst transferring food from Canada to Soviet Russia during WW2, he felt that the Soviets and Stalin were always friends and in fact had an oil painting of Stalin over his fireplace and made me greet Uncle Joe every morning i was there...

It all depends where you come from. During the war a US Colonel asked a Red Army Colonel why the Russians fought so hard for a leader like Stalin, and was told "Look we know that we are caught between two dictators, but given a choice we prefer the one that speaks Russian". Doubtless the soldiers in the German army would have give a similar reason for fighting for Hitler. As I do not speak either German or Russian I am only too glad that I am not mixed up with either!.

Hitler was more evil. Stalin was smarter, and thus more successful. Because of this, he killed more people than Hitler did. However, had Hitler succeeded in his plans, he would have killed many times more people than Stalin. Most peple now think Stalin was more evil than Hitler because Stalin killed more people, but this doesn't take into account that Hitler was prevented from killing many millions more than he would have liked to, and that one of the people most responsible for stopping Hitler was Stalin.

Joseph Stalin, No contest. He killed millions and got away with it!
By the way, I find the comment that Adolf Hitler had brains distrubing. I smell a Neo-Nazi in our midst.
