i have carbon rod whoes resistivity is 0.35 ohm-m....it is now connected to ground through a resistor of 5ohms...what will be the potential at the carbon?

I place a charged copper rod few cm away from the carbon rod

please assume all the dimensions
I want only the method to find the electric potential

You need more information: the dimensions of the carbon rod, and the potential applied. The potential at the carbon will vary from one end to the other linearly.
