It's been quite a while so I would compare my answers with other because they may not be what your teacher is looking for but perhaps will give you an idea of where to start.
The West was in the process of being settled. As the West became more populated there was a need for statehood. With statehood came law and government. I don't believe that slavery was something that western states stood for. They had other concerns. And there you are at question 2. Your regionalization was the north and what it stood for and the south and what it stood for and the West and what it stood for. The biggest problem of the day was state sovereignty. The states wanted the power to govern themselves with a weak federal (national) government. Others pushed for a strong federal government to unite the states. And the south produced labor intensive crops-cotten-and used slaves to for labor. The north's business was not labor intensive, I believe they traded with England and produced less labor intensive products. The needs of each area were different and each area wanted the government offer what they needed over other regions. It's in the books, just can't remember it all anymore. Hope that helps some.

subsequent yr as a junior, i'm taking each ap us historical past and ap us govt. at my tuition, which has block scheduling (four categories an afternoon a million.five hours each and every) ap us historical past is three phrases and ap us govt is a semester. i consider that taking each in combination will support you could have a larger know-how people historical past and govt. nevertheless, ap us govt is ordinarily a senior elegance. the rationale why i'm taking it as a junior is in view that ap us govt is handiest supplied each different yr. so, if i did not take it this yr i would not be capable to take all of it. despite the fact that it is going to take plenty of attempt to achieve those guides i suppose it's valued at the time, mainly if you happen to say you're interested within the ap govt. if you happen to don't seem to be as interested within the ap us historical past, consider of it as a category a good way to support you do even larger in ap govt.
