I know that aerogrow sells a kit to grow seeds of your choice as well as pre-seeded pods. I know that these pods consist of 2 major parts. One is the plastic frame that holds the pod in place with the plant and growing medium. Two, the growing medium and seed.

I've searched online to find that some sites call this material grow sponge, bio-sponge, and sponge rock. They are probably one and the same...is that correct?

Where can I get my hands on some of this special growing medium? Please don't respond with "go to aerogrow's website" because thats not an option.

The main reason I'm asking this question is because the plastic frame of the pod is reusable, but the grow sponge is not. If I can replace the grow sponge, then the cost of growing is drastically reduced.

peat material cannot be used because it will fall apart and get stuck in the pump.
