Well.. if he is chatting with other girls on the internet he obviously doesn't have much respect for you now does he? I would bring up the idea of you chatting with other guys on the internet. Say something like, "when you are done with your girlfriends, can I chat with my boyfriends?" Most guys like the idea that they can secretly chat, but don't like the idea that their lady is chatting too. I would tell him, that if he wants to be with these girls you will happily leave and seek other guys. You don't need this, and shouldn't have to put yourself through this. Let him know that this needs to stop asap, and if he doesn't approve than its time to go. You can seek other people too, your not a hermit.

Download an instant messaging program.

So, you have to download and install the program. Once you start it, the program will ask you if you have an existing account or need a new one. If you one of those email services, you can most likely use that same name and password for your (screen name). If not, just select new user or something liek that.

those are pretty popular and have chatrooms you can join in on

open an IM account, in yahoo, google or skype add your friends contacts or find anybody online whom you are willing to chat, just follow the instructions while creating an ID, thats it.

For best results use "Advanced Search," or "Browse By Interests."

you need to have yahoo, gmail, msn, aol account and you need to install corresponding im clients. Or else you can use web messengers.
