Hi, I am having a bit of a problem. I met this person over MySpace and we have become best buds. Now he wants to move where I live and I am all for it but everyone I know won't be since I met him over the internet. I'm trying to think of an excuse that will seem legit so people don't freak. I can't say hes an old friend or a friend of a friend... should I say I knew him back in the day from school? Im 18 and hes 22... Give me some advice.

Please only serious comments, none of this "How do u not know he's a psycho from the net?"

Something to do from your workplace. Like his a travelling student learning etc. and that you volunteered as it looks good on your record and your boss/company is relying on you.

I don't think you should tell any lie, you might end up being caught out in the lie anyways. Don't worry about what people think, not everyone on the net is a psycho - I meet my bf through the net :)

Its not a problem, since you are not the one who is moving over, why bother to explain so much, just introduce him as a good friend, other questions, just smile and change the topic, if the person who ask this question is smart enough to know, he will nt ask the question again, if not just keep avoiding this question.

Are you straight? Maybe he thinks otherwise. You should check dude. What was the main reason he want to move in with you? Sounds a bit crazy there.
