I wouldn't "end the pain", except by taking them for medical attention.

Mortally wounded? I doubt it; he or she would be in shock, and I most likely would be as well.
Painful terminal illness, diagnosed by a doctor, and lingering in pain? Yes.

If they were on life support in the ICU of a hospital and I as their living will person (forgot what it was called) then yes i could ( i had to do that with my mom) but if they were asking me to help assist in their suicide no. a good friend would not risk you spending the rest of your life in jail when they will eventually pass of natural causes. and I would regret that for the rest of my life. I already do about my mom, but she would have been a veggie for the rest of her life and I loved her to much to let her live threw that.

No, I would call for emergency and hope for the best, I would not want my friend to go out like that.

yes of course,why let the poor guy suffer when you both know he's not going to make it,so give him the gun or knife and ask him to write a letter saying he shot himself and wasn't your idea so you won't get manipulated

no way. i may pray for his pain to go be lessened, but it's not for me to "end his pain".
