they had an offer on a while ago where the box cost £50 - the price is now £100 and i dont want to pay that much . Any suggestions please (sensible ones).

You could always look on ebay for the box, but they'll probably be running another offer later this year when the after-christmas sales figures drop a bit.
You could always try ringing them up and asking for a deal ... the worst they can say is no!

When we went over to Sky, we were only going to have the normal box, but we got offered the Sky+ box, for free, so obviously we took up the offer, wouldn't be without it now, absolutly brilliant

i`m sure i saw it advertised on tv yesterday for £50. if you are an existing customer ring them up and ask about the price and tell them you are thinking of switching to cable, i know people who have done this and sky will make offers to keep your custom. if it doesnt work, ring back and the next person might take the bait. i have sky+...it is FANTASTIC!, you will never let it go once you have it!

Call them and threaten to cancel your subscription, they will then throw offers at you, haggle for what you want
