In my teenage i was a go with the flow girl with a nerdy look(i liked po music, dressed to the trend...).Now that i'm supposed to grow up it started to get freaky. i'm more interested in goth matters,Goth music,etc... i even want to get a goth look and style. Is it just a phase?
All my friends are not goth and they don't want me to be like this,It scares them.
P.S: i'm 20 years old and i have 15 year old goth sister and a goth(without the look) mother.

Im 20 and my hair is half black half red. When you get older your true style comes about.Your taste in music fashoin and interests all change.I doubt its a phase, and screw what your friends think.Do what you want.Only your real friends wont mind what you look like.

This probably sounds cliched, but it's true: Real friends will NEVER try and mold you or change you into someone else, nor will they stop you from following your dreams, because real friends are supposed to love you for who you are, not who you were or who you could be.
I'm not saying your current friends are faking a friendship with you, but if it's what's in your heart, then go for it and don't let anything or anyone stand in your path.
My personal opinions on Goths wouldn't be all that flattering so I'll keep them to myself - I don't know you so I can't judge you.
It could be just a phase... I think we all go through these during our teenage years and even young adulthood, or it could be something that grows and stays with you for many years.
Follow what you believe in and don't be afraid to stand up for yourself. REAL friends don't (or shouldn't) care how you dress or what you listen to; it is not the superficial, tip-off-the-iceberg stuff that matters. They should know you and they respect you for who you are and what you believe in.
The Goth STYLE shouldn't change a person...
The Goth CULT well, possibly...

yea i understand what you are saying. The truth is you can't change what your heart wants you to be unless you want to be sad. You can change but you will not be as happy as if you do what u really like why be miserable... if your friends are really good friends they will like you regardless. Everyone goes through phases... like for me instance... i use to only listen to hip hop rap i but eventually i grew out of it.. i mean i haven't worn a Jersey for years... my style completely changed my taste completely changed... i listen to all types of music... i surf now... i snowboard... GREW OUT MY HAIR hahaha not 2 long though and you know what my good friends they stuck by my side. You can't do anything about it... if you try you will just end up being unhappy at a point in life and u will realize that it's not you... you can try to force your self but i do not recommend... go through the change... do what ur heart tells you... do what is natural... do what is right to you... and the good friends will stay with you ... with you till the end
.
EDIT: PS: I'm 21 years old and went though the phase senior year in high school (16-17years old)... when i realized there is more to life then being the toughest and the hardest and the most famous ... People look at me and can't believe i use to be like that hahahaha funny... huh?

Just be who you will be sister, as we all go through phases in our lives, as long as you are having a good time and you are not hurting yourself or others. Just remember, who you really are is the spirit within you, not the body that carries you about, be the light not the bulb, and be goth if it floats your boat.

it is probably just a phase but why fight against it.if you want to be a goth then be a goth, if your friends are real friends then they'll still be there for you.

Do what you want. It is your own style. Let your friends dress how they want and let yourself dress the way you want. I think the goth style is cool.
