is the way I wrote students' grammatically correct or should I say the students' enthusiasm?

look if the student is singular so put the ( ') before the (s)
if you mean students as plural so put the (' ) after the (s)
and it will be right ;)

I'm quite sure it is correct the way you have written it, but I am not exactly sure I understand what you are asking. If I understand correctly, I would probably say this instead:

The most effective way to attract student enthusiasm . . .

This way, you are referring to students' enthusiasm as a whole, if that makes sense.

if your looking to grab your students attention make what ever your teaching engaging, fun to learn and not a bore. most students would rather stab themselvs with a pencil then have to learn about history or math but if you make it fun and enjoyable most will particpate in the class.
