The best time to visit would be during the Christmas season (December). The country's really festive with all the decorations and lights and during New Year, people go out in the streets and have fun with firecrackers and watch fireworks displays..

Well for easy said,I enjoyed the food the most in Phillippines and the market/hawker food are pretty good.And the best time to visit is during December by Tiger Airlines.

The market food is good but the hawker food can be a little scary at times. My fiancee got food poisoning from hawker food so we stay away now.
Christmas is certainly one of the best times of the year to visit. You don't want to go during rainy season.
I fly there by plane and than ride in the hotel's car to the hotel. Once there, I have no problems getting around in trikes, jeepney or multi-cabs.
