182......but being a member of mensa is over rated. having a high IQ means nothing....you did not attain it yourself through hard work and experience....you were born with it. it is an accident of nature (probably a mutation...lol) and of course, your parent's genetics.

I'm not sure what the percentages are but the percentage of people who say they have an IQ of 140 or above is considerably higher than the actual number. I read somewhere that 90 % of people think they are smarter than average. My wild guess is about one in ten people will estimate their IQ is over 140. On this forum, apparently 100 %.

My ravens APM score equates to a score over 150 (Raw 35/36).

My SAT score (old) equates to about 160 (1590).

A score of 140, statistically, is achieved by about 1 in 260 individuals. Since internet populations are a bit smarter than normal, probably about 1 in every 100 yahoo answers users have an IQ of 140 or greater.

I'm not sure if the data is available, but if you really wanted to know you coudl take the total number of members and divide by 100 :p This is only an estimate, though.

So if there are a million members, you would expect to find about 10,000 with an IQ of 140 or greater. You would expect about 100 users with an IQ over 160, and about 10 with an IQ over 170.

Right now, it's cheaper to get He3 here on Earth. Much cheaper. You can make it in nuclear reactors, from tritium or lithium. Or capture it as tritium from old thermonuclear weapons decays. Kilogram quantities are available. The problem with fusion right now is not the fuel. Deuterium works just fine. It's containing the reaction, without using more power to do it than you get. There's no need to worry about getting large amounts of He3 (tonnes) until the problems of fusion are solved. At that point, maybe lunar travel will be cheap enough to mine it there. But I'm guessing it will still be cheaper to make it here.

I don't know what my IQ is but I'm good at answering most questions, usually based on my opinion. I feel it is more important to have common sense and especially wisdom to make it in life.

I'm retired now, but I worked with victim's and children of domestic violence.

I worked with subordinates with PH D's and Masters Degrees. I found that some weren't capable of making good decisions no matter what sheep skin hung in their office.

I'll share this poem with you that I have framed for a certain person that visits often with a very high IQ, and with very little wisdom.

Never mistake knowledge for wisdom,
one helps you make a living,
the other helps you make a life.
James Oppenheim

I see many questions answered with wisdom but that doesn't tell us what their IQ is.

IQ of 140 means that only 1 of 10,000 performs better.

But really dumb people don't use the internet at all.

So I guess 1 out of 1000 on this forum.

Most of them don't come higher than 80.

140 is in the 99th percentile, so that means about 1 percent of the people have IQ's of 140.
140 is considered Genius level.

My IQ is 147... not a bragging right as far as I'm concerned, as standardized testing is not always an accurate measure of intelligence. I love to learn, though, and try to learn something new every day. That's one of the main reasons why I love being a Registered Nurse. (Q-T-R-N... get it?)

Take it lightly!

I believe all people asking such question & replying this should have IQ below 140 :)
