"DON'T EVER CLICK THE UNSUBSCRIBE LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF AN E-MAIL"
The spammers send mails to randomly generated email ids. Click unsubscribe will make them sure about your email id. And it will trigger 10s and 100s of other unsolicited mails.
Insteed you click the button called "Spam" or "Report as Spam". Clicking this will make sure that not only you but other people will get benefit from your report.
You can unsubscribe from a yahoo group insteed of reporting them as Spam.
You can always UNBLOCK a email address from your mail settings or options section.

Several ways to throttle the message flow.
1. go to the Yahoo group. and select Group Digest, so you get one message each day, that contains all the messages that day.
2. Less preferred for your Yahoo groups. because you do have so much control over the mail you receive, even turning OFF the feature at each group!
3. Also, in your Yahoo account, you can set the >options>filters so it goes to a folder you created! That way, up to 15 filters can be set up (for a free account), or more, if you subscribe to Yahoo for the extra features!
Hey, isn't this already answered in the Yahoo help files? Yes!

there is usually an option to Unsubscribe at the bottom of the emails you get. i guess you should just click on it and do just that. if u dont find that then click on the spam button (i assume u have a yahoo email address) at the top of the mail. it automatically marks the mail as a spam. that should help.
Another way around it if the mails seem to bother you is to subscribe for a digest instead of a mail for all replies. that way, you get only one mail at the end of the day containing all resposes for that day. i think that will be cool to have.

one of 2 ways to do that
1 - open the email - scroll down to the bottom (usually) - click Unsubscribe
2 - go to the yahoo group that you signed up for - log in - go to - edit membership - then scroll down to the bottom - and in the Step 2 section and to the far right you should see - web only - click your mouse on that circle beside that
then click - Save changes

unsubscribe from the yahoo group. you will then stop receiving any mails sent to that group.
If somebody is deliberately sending spam, then you can add that person to your ignore list. or create a filter and direct mails from that person to trash :)
